Over time, our epidermis dries out under the effect of multiple and various external aggressions. The rays of the sun (UV), cold, pollution and others, really make our skin feel the need to be protected and nourished properly. Moreover, it becomes urgent with age to take care of it by opting for the right products.

Today, creams, masks and oils exist for optimal maintenance of the skin. And if the selection of components is key, the moment to choose to apply them is all the more important. Healthy Lifestyle

Apply your creams at the right time

Different types of creams are currently offered by brands specializing in cosmetic products. In the case of moisturizer, professionals recommend daily use, morning and evening after the skin has been thoroughly cleansed. We spread a little cream on his fingers. Using circular movements of the fingertips, it is possible to heat it and thin it slightly for better application.

With regard to antioxidant creams, such as those made from tea, specialists recommend an application before each session of vitamin E. The components will, in fact, act as a barrier that will preserve the epidermis from major external aggressions.

And then, those who use anti-cellulite creams will know that this type of product is intended to remove the fat deposited in the adipocytes. The ingredients will act faster on an active metabolism. Thus, it would be best to use them before sports sessions or any other physical activity.

What about oil?

There are 2 types of oils on the market: those dedicated to the face and those for the body.

Face oils are applied in the morning or evening depending on availability. The first option is the morning application. This is recommended if the skin is too dry. Indeed, with its ability to strengthen the hydrolipidic film, it is more practical to use it in the morning, especially during winter.

If the epidermis is not too exposed to the risk of aggression, the treatment can be done in the evening.

The body oil is also for daily use. The best time will be after an exfoliating treatment or scrub on skin that is still warm and damp. It is necessary to ensure that the skin is well exfoliated since the dead cells will only reduce the penetration of the components into the epidermis.

Thus, it is possible to apply it in the morning or in the evening, but the morning shower will always be the best occasion. The components will serve to protect the skin during the day. However, if the user chooses to apply it in the evening, the oil will act by moisturizing or repairing the part to be treated.

And the mask?

The use of the mask will depend on your skin type, but also on the result you want to obtain.

In general, the application will be done in the evening or during the weekend (lack of time required). For normal skin, it only takes 5-10 minutes for a cleansing mask to work on the epidermis. The duration will be 15 minutes for oily skin. It will take 15 – 20 minutes for the active ingredients to fully penetrate if it is a moisturising formula. The trick is to make sure the skin is well exfoliated beforehand. Health and Fitness

If the skin has suffered strong aggression to the point of becoming dry and tight, professionals advise the use of a moisturizing product at a frequency of 2 to 3 times a week until the epidermis is in better condition. The mask will be applied 1 to 2 times during this same period. An application once a week or even every 15 days may be enough to solve tone problems or correct some imperfections.
